WWE House Shows are always fun as the superstars do things that they can’t showcase on weekly television. However, Cody Rhodes did a similar thing at the recent WWE Fayetteville show where he shared his “theory” of Roman Reigns not being present. Moreover, he also name-dropped Brock Lesnar, and the WWE Universe on social media slammed him for the same.

It seems the midst of a feud with Lesnar, The American Nightmare tried to re-ignite his rivalry with The Head of the Table. He did so by taking a jibe at Reigns for not being present at the show.

Doing so, he tried to renew his rivalry with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. This all happened while a second match with Brock Lesnar was just days away for The American Nightmare.

Rhodes said, “My theory is that the reason that Roman Reigns didn’t want to be here is because he is afraid of me. And that theory also extends to my opponent at the Night of Champions, Brock Lesnar. I’ll make you a promise.”

The 37-year-old added, “The next time I come back here, my promise is this. I hope to have defeated Brock Lesnar not just once but twice. And I also hope that I’ll be wearing some gold around my waist. Thank you, guys, very much.” (H/T WrestlingNews)

WWE had mistakenly advertised The Tribal Chief for this show. Hence, Reigns was not present and Rhodes took this as an opportunity to address it. Moreover, he gave a firm promise of defeating The Beast Incarnate once again at Night of Champions.
