The biggest night in the pro wrestling realm is just months away. The Road to WrestleMania 40 has officially begun and so have the preparations for it. While it was just Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the beginning, another star who has jumped into the mix is Dwayne Johnson. The Brahma Bull has returned to the WWE and could face Cody Rhodes following the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Press Event.

But one concern that fans and even Johnson himself have is whether he could keep up with the two in the ring. Especially after being out of action for such a long time. The Hollywood star in a recent interview opened up about how he is feeling about his WWE return.

Talking with E-News this Monday, The Brahma Bull shared how he is feeling about his upcoming WrestleMania main event. While he is excited to step into the ring and in the WWE limelight once again, he does have one concern. He said, “The type of training with professional wrestling—unlike stunts, unlike weight training—requires respect for the sport.”

Johnson is known for doing most of his stunts. Apart from that, he has stayed in commendable shape even after entering the fifth decade of his life. But that doesn’t stop him from considering pro wrestling a holy sport for him.

He further added, “I gotta prepare in the right way. I don’t want to get my a– kicked too bad.” This indicates that even though someone can do their stunts and is physically fit, pro wrestling requires another level of skill.

While Johnson might be concerned about his in-ring return, WWE might have been planning something that will be helpful for him.

A dream tag team match

There has been an internal word that hints at the possibility of an explosive dream tag team match. On one side of the ring, fans might get to see The Rock and Roman Reigns, and on the other side, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The reason why WWE might be considering this is that of both Johnson’s and Rollins’ conditions. While The Rock has been out of action for a very long time, Seth Rollins has been suffering from some lower back issues and a recent knee injury.

WWE believes this will put a lesser physical toll on Rollins and Johnson while giving fans a grand main event for the fortieth WrestleMania. However, there is no word whether this match will be on Night 1 or Night 2. While this is still a rumor, we might be getting a step closer to this after Rollins and Rhodes allied in this week’s episode of Raw. Would you like to see Johnson going solo in the ring? Or would you like to see this dream tag team match?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
