The first match of Backlash France 2024 was truly spectacular as Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, with the audience at LDLC Arena creating an incredible atmosphere. The Bloodline came out on top thanks to Tanga Loa’s return, who blew everyone away. Loa is Haku’s son and has a background in TNA and NJPW, where he wrestled from 2016 to 2024. There he formed the Guerrillas of Destiny, aka G.O.D.; stable featuring his brother Tama Tonga.

With the G.O.D. reunited and merged with the Bloodline, the WWE universe, and two pro wrestling veterans are thrilled about it. They have a dream match in mind for the two new superstars. Who are they? Let’s find out.

In the latest edition of the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray and Mark Henry sat together to discuss all things wrestling. And, when we talk about the current WWE, the hottest thing in the promotion right now is The Bloodline; especially after the G.O.D. joined hands with Sikoa to form the new Bloodline. So what’s next for them? According to the veterans, the G.O.D. should face the Usos next.

“Now I believe they are where they belong. I think they’re going to make a significant impact on the bloodline story. I think they’re going to make a significant impact one day in the tag division. And Mark and I threw it out there yesterday on the old Twitter machine. One day I’m hoping to see a dream tag team match. G.O .D. The Guerrillas of Destiny, which I don’t think they’re being called in the WWE. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa versus the Usos,” reckoned Bully Ray.

This surely would be a dream match for the fans. While many might not know that Tanga Loa has already once defeated the Usos. The battle took place during his early WWE run when he was named Camacho and he teamed up with Hunico to defeat the twins. So a rematch would surely be in the minds of the twins as well. But how did the WWE end up bringing the G.O.D. to the WWE? Was it a last-minute signing?

The backstage story behind the signings of Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga

At the time of writing, The Bloodline is turned upside down and is taking a revolution with the disappearance of Roman Reigns. Without the presence of ‘The Tribal Chief’, Solo Sikoa is ruthlessly taking the reins of the faction. He has completely changed it by introducing new members.

A couple of weeks ago, Tama Tonga debuted with WWE by attacking Jimmy Uso and joining The Bloodline. On Saturday afternoon, Tanga Loa joined the faction during Backlash 2024, helping his teammates lead to victory. On Wrestling Observer Radio, it was revealed how Tonga and Loa were signed by WWE. Dave Meltzer said, “Real quick, Tanga Loa’s deal and Tama Tonga’s were actually together, it’s just that…the Tanga Loa thing it didn’t get out because New Japan never announced it (his contract was coming due), they never gave him a farewell. WWE obviously never announces anything like this, but this is not like something from the last two weeks, this deal was decided on months ago.”

Well, it looks like it was in the plans of the WWE all along. And they sure did a good job of keeping it a secret. So now that we know that WWE had serious plans, we can surely expect a G.O.D. vs. Usos match pretty soon. What do you think of the dream match? Let us know in the comments.
