The September 15th episode of WWE SmackDown was one of the most anticipated episodes ever. The lineup had several confirmed stars and fans were eager to see them in action. The confirmed appearances included a rematch between The Miz and LA Knight after Payback. Bayley was scheduled to face off against Asuka. AJ Styles was set to go against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Another major announcement was John Cena’s appearance on The Grayson Waller Effect.

Denver, Colorado, has been on WWE’s map for over 30 years now. They held their first event in 1985, and since then, have organized numerous events in The Mile High City. Now, according to reports, September 15th’s SmackDown episode was the most profitable episode yet organized in the county. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful took to X (formerly Twitter) to share this news. According to him, considering the history of WWE, this event was the highest-grossing live event ever held in Denver.

In a surprise move, Pat McAfee, a beloved figure in the wrestling world, made an unexpected appearance on SmackDown. McAfee, known for his WWE commentary and NXT contributions, returned to WWE during his visit to the city. He greeted the audience and set the tone for the night. McAfee was confronted by Austin Theory, following which The Rock made a dramatic entry. The Rock quickly silenced Theory and delivered his signature People’s Elbow, with McAfee joining in for a double dose of excitement.

On SmackDown, the spotlight shone on Cena’s appearance on The Grayson Waller Effect. Fans had been waiting for this for a long time as Waller had built up quite a momentum on social media. Grayson Waller, in his usual way, welcomed Cena. He didn’t shy away from giving him the Grayson Waller Rub. However, things started to heat up and Cena was not afraid to take him down.

Things took a turn when they were interrupted by Jimmy Uso. He was accompanied by Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline and Paul Heyman. As an all-out brawl broke, Cena was backed up by AJ Styles.
