Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had always aspired to make a name for himself in the world of sports. Big Dewey’s primary focus was achieving major success in the NFL. But circumstances never saw him conquer that goal and led him straight into the landscape of professional wrestling, much like his ancestors.

However, years later, The Rock is now the owner of the XFL league. But is he doing it for himself or for a purpose even bigger than his own dream that he never was able to achieve? The latest XFL update could arguably answer that question.

The Rock, alongside his business partner and ex-wife Dany Garcia, and other investors, announced the purchase of the XFL league in August 2020. The football league serves as a breaking ground for minors to reach the big leagues. It showcases 8 teams from all over the USA, divided into North and South divisions.

The Great One is looking to create a new land of opportunities for young athletes, who are at a point where he was during his young days. He took a moment to share the “full-circle moment” latest campaign of the XFL on Instagram. Moreover, he also revealed monumental news that around 75-100 players of the XFL league would compete in NFL camps.

“Come this fall, we will have 75-100 XFL players competing in NFL camps!!!
🤯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Extraordinary number that reflects out XFL being the true “League of Opportunity” and the best spring football league in the world.”

DJ expressed his excitement, citing the huge number of XFL athletes getting a chance of a lifetime. Furthermore, he concluded by calling his venture the “league of opportunity.” Despite failing to achieve his own dream, Johnson is paving the way for others to attain their dreams.

The Rock is set to fulfill the same dream for others that he saw for himself

The former WWE champion calling the XFL league a full circle moment is very poignant. After all, a young Dwayne Johnson himself aspired to make it as a big NFL player. He played for the University of Miami and the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. But he went undrafted in the 1995 NFL draft and was even cut from his team due to his frequent injuries. This brought his dreams to an end.

However, The Rock called it the best thing that never happened to him years later. He made this huge statement, as Dwayne believed to serve a bigger purpose in life- fulfilling the dreams of others.

He continued: “Standing on this field, crowning our new XFL Champions, I realized that the best thing about my dream not coming true, was witnessing THEIR dreams coming true.”
