Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Biggest Rival Talks About His Eye-Grabbing Jump to Hollywood: “Go Find a Job”

Dwayne Johnson is not the only WWE legend to have a Hollywood career. His former WWE rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin, also appeared in some films.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is undoubtedly one of the most popular pro wrestlers of all time. Fans loved to see him in action inside the squared circle. But he had to retire from in-ring competition in 2003 because of injuries. After that, he made appearances in WWE but never competed in a match till this year’s WrestleMania.
Following his in-ring retirement in 2003, Austin turned his attention to films and Hollywood. During an interview with Larry King on Larry King Now, Stone Cold Steve Austin revealed what triggered him into the acting business following his 2003 retirement.

Steve Austin said, “I stayed unemployed or did nothing for about two or three years, kind of finding out what I was gonna do next. And finally, I wake up one day and I said, ‘You know what, you are 40 years old, you need to be productive, you need to go find a job.'”
The WWE legend further added, “I didn’t want to go back to driving a forklift and loading and unloading trucks like I did before I got into the business. So I said, ‘Take your ass out to Hollywood and get into the acting business.'”

Stone Cold Steve Austin did not have so much success in Hollywood like Dwayne Johnson. But he appeared in some films that got the attention of the audience. The Condemned, Damage, The Stranger, The Expendables, Knockout and The Package are some of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s films.
Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of his in-ring retirement during this year’s WrestleMania
Steve Austin had to retire from in-ring action back in 2003 because of injuries. However, after almost 19 years, the Texas Rattlesnake once again competed in a match in a WWE ring. On Night One of this year’s WrestleMania, Austin appeared as a special guest on The Kevin Owens Show.

After a confrontation with the WWE Raw superstar, Kevin Owens challenged Austin for a match. And to everyone’s surprise, Stone Cold Steve Austin accepted that challenge. Not only did he compete in a match against Kevin Owens, but he also got a dominant victory over the WWE Raw superstar.

The Texas Rattlesnake then once again appeared on Night Two following Vince McMahon’s win over Pat McAfee. After entering the ring, he delivered a Stunner to Theory and followed it up with Stunners to Mr. McMahon and Pat McAfee.
