On Vince McMahon’s retirement, former WWE Head Writer Brian Gewirtz said, “It was surprising, but it was also for me from just the creative writer mindset of the WWE creative team. The surprising reaction of the former WWE writer is evident because he, like many others, never thought of Vince McMahon retiring. In his upcoming book, he wrote about McMahon, “There is no one more passionate about WWE than Vince McMahon it would be quite easy for him to pass the baton by now and called it a career but he’s not going to do that not now not ever.”
Gewirtz shares his experience in WWE
Brian Gewirtz was with WWE from 1999 to 2015, and during that time, they also promoted him to the Head Writer position at the company. He shared many experiences with McMahon, such as how he would come up with new absurd ideas every week, and how he would change the script 5 minutes before the show.
On the Ariel Helwani YouTube channel, Gewirtz said his experience on WWE was, “Never boring, obviously sometimes intense, sometimes a lot of fun, sometimes frustrating. You know you really run a gamut of emotions when working there.”
