“Good Horse”: Top AEW Star Has Words for Triple H’s Politics After Dealing With Tony Khan’s Backstage Antics During the CM Punk Drama
Realizing his creative potential, Triple H has been given complete creative control in WWE by the new owners. Ever since the former wrestler stepped in and became the CCO, fans have been pretty much satisfied with his role, leading to TKO trusting him with the responsibility. This position Triple H now enjoys comes after his long history in WWE and the fact that he is married to Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon made him an ideal candidate for a bigger role. But an AEW star recently took shots at “The Game” and his politics.
Triple H has been accused in the past of engaging in backstage politics and maneuvering his way to the top. AEW star Adam ‘Hangman’ Page addressed this in a tongue-in-cheek comment.

‘Hangman’ appeared in Hey (EW) recently. During the official interview, he was asked about a number of things. One of the questions focused on asking about his late horse and whether he was ‘too political’. The host revealed that the name of that horse was HHH, Hunter Horse Helmsley. This indeed was a reference to the creative head of WWE, who wrestled as HHH (Hunter Hearst Helmsley).

The host asked Page “Was Hunter any good or did he just play politics?” The AEW star replied, “He was a good horse. He was a good horse. He’s dead now. While alive, he was a good horse. No politics showed up, did his job, didn’t complain. Good horse.”
This looks like a jab at Triple H and the accusations of backstage politics he has had to face.

This led to him having some real-life disputes with his co-workers, including ‘Hangman’.
This started when these two top stars were also involved in a storyline. During one of the promos, Page went off-script and called out Punk personally. This led Punk to call out Hangman and other AEW EVPs for their behavior leading to the infamous backstage brawl later.
