“He Never Said a Word..”: WWE Legend Made a Stunning Admission About Hulk Hogan After Criticizing Him in WWE

It can be easily said that Hulk Hogan was part of the revolution in wrestling twice in his career. He ruled the entire 80s as a top babyface in WWE winning much affection and then became a top heel in WCW as a part of the nWo. 

However, a WWE legend who worked with The Hulkster in WWE and WCW once shed light on the good side of Hogan. The legend recalled Hogan’s reaction when he made the switch to WWE from WCW and cut a promo on The Immortal One.

A few years ago, WWE Hall of Famer X-Pac aka Sean Waltman, talked about Hulk Hogan’s friendly behavior. Moreover, Waltman shared Hogan’s reaction to the WWE return promo of X-Pac.

Waltman said, “When I came into WCW, he was good to me. He was really good. We got along great with him until along the end before I got my neck broken. There was some tension over like creative sh*t and two different sides. You know two different directions, though. And there was the stuff with The Horsemen too. But for the most part dude Hulk’s a f**king good guy. He’s really a good guy.”

He added, “He’s been really good to his friends. He said that stuff around me when I left, when went from (Eric) Bischoff’s said me, I couldn’t cut the monster or something on TV. So I said that stuff about him when I showed up on Vince’s TV. He (Hulk Hogan) never said a word about it. He didn’t care. When I move back to Tampa, I used to hang out with him and see him all the time.”

It’s not just Waltman, but many WWE stars have sung praises for The Immortal One. Even former WCW World Champion Lex Luger once appreciated Hogan for putting him over as the main event star.

What did X-Pac say about Hulk Hogan in his WWE return promo?

Sean Waltman left WWE in 1996 and joined WCW. There, they quickly added him to the hottest group, the New World Order, which gave him a new direction in the industry. However, Eric Bischoff fired him from WCW in 1998.

However, after 15 days of getting fired from WCW, Waltman returned to WWE on March 30, 1998 episode of Monday Night Raw. He cut a promo in which he criticized Hulk Hogan and took a shot at Eric Bischoff. He said Scott Hall and Kevin Nash would be in WWE with him if they hadn’t signed with WCW at the time.

When Did Hulk Hogan Start Wrestling?

X-Pac returned as a member of the newly formed D Generation x and had the best years of his career. Moreover, Waltman is considered the first wrestler to jump ship from WCW to WWE when the iron was hot.
