However, once DJ made a heartfelt gesture toward his father, that strengthened their bond. Rocky Johnson was speechless by this gesture from his son.

A few years ago, Dwayne Johnson shared about buying a house for his father, Rocky Johnson. He shared the news through an Instagram post in which The Rock was happy to hear his father was glad about this gesture.

‘The Great One’ said, “He couldn’t believe it, he was speechless So he just called now, it’s a big weekend. He’s gonna go and look at properties. He’s a Florida boy so he’s gonna look up to north Florida. And he goes, ‘I’m so excited, and I’m also so nervous. My dad’s an old-school tough guy, I said, ‘What the hell you nervous about?”

The Rock added, ‘He said, ‘Well, no one,’ he was searching for words, and he’s like, ‘no one ever called to tell me they were going to buy me a house before, and the fact that it’s you, it’s my son, I’m so proud of you, and I love you so much. I never heard my dad talk like that. It felt good to me, and it felt good to my heart,”

It really surprised ‘The People’s Champion’ to hear his father talking in an exciting manner. He wrote, “Great chat with my old man. Felt good to my cold 🖤 to hear him express his love.”

Further, DJ opened up about their strange relationship. He told how the former WWE Tag Team Champion used to be strict with him and The Rock hated it. However, he is fortunate that his father raised him like strictly, as the former WWE Champion claims it made him a better man.

A few days ago, the Teth Adam actor went to the set of Young Rock season 3. There he met actor Joseph Lee Anderson, who plays Rocky Johnson in the series based on The Great One’s life.

DJ wrote, “I didn’t want our hug to end. It was moving to finally meet Joseph, whose resemblance, mannerisms, and spirit of my dad is uncanny. It was as if I was right there talking with my dad one more time.”

The moment was indeed an emotional one for The Rock, as he further expressed all the memories running through his mind about his father. Furthermore, Johnson wrote he never got to say his dad goodbye, but after meeting Anderson, he indeed got to tell him hello again.

Rocky Johnson passed away in January 2020. Dwayne Johnson always remembers his father and often shares what he learned from The Soulman on social media.
