Dwayne Johnson Regretted His Views on Arnold Schwarzenegger After the Terminator’s Unbelievable Gesture

Like many aspiring actors, Dwayne Johnson needed assistance in Hollywood, since he didn’t have prior acting experience. In light of this, he is grateful to legendary superstars like Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger—who he has looked up to as idols—for being incredibly encouraging and gracious to him during his early years in Hollywood.
As all are well aware, DJ has long been a leading action hero and has dominated Hollywood with his top-tier movies. Much hard work and dedication were part of his journey to the top. And The Rock never forgets the path he passed through or the people who helped him. Hence, he reminisced about the celebrities he had admired being really welcoming, and giving the push he needed to have a successful career.

In an interview for the movie San Andreas, Johnson reflected on how the leading Hollywood actors welcomed him, despite the assumption that they would act with ego.
He stated, “Arnold and Stallone and Bruce Willis at one time… Those guys were the biggest movie stars in the world, on the planet. And when I got to Hollywood, every single one of them were always so supportive and so welcoming it’s like a brother.”
The People’s Champ asserted that since they were established industry figures and he was a newcomer entering the field and attempting to create movies, it could have gone the other way. But they were encouraging.

In his words, “They could have done, you know, kind of, make it difficult. But no, those guys were great.” It seems like the action superstars follow the same philosophy which The Rock often mentioned: “It’s nice to be important. But it’s important to be nice.” Wise words!
However, not everyone he met when he initially came to Hollywood was so helpful. To his disappointment, he also got blown off sometimes.

For those who haven’t seen the film, ‘The Austrian Oak’ had a brief appearance in this movie. Notably, this is the only time they both appeared on the same screen.

While Johnson was the main character in the film, Schwarzenegger made a brief appearance. In the scene, Johnson runs into Schwarzenegger in a bar and urges The Rock to “have fun”.

They didn’t appear in any films together after that, but fans are eagerly awaiting their return in the future.
