In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, The Hulkster revealed that Sika Anoa’i, Reigns’ father, is the man who inspired and trained him to become the great wrestler that he is today.

Hogan began by saying, “Roman’s dad, Sika, he explained the ABCs of it all to him.” The wrestling legend then added, “You can see it in the way Roman creates emotion, understands how to make the crowd mad, and how he puts people on the edge of their seat calling for that comeback.” At last, the retired pro wrestler drew a parallel between Sika’s teaching and Reigns’ current WWE run by saying, “Roman Reigns learned this all old-school from his dad, but he adapted to the newer era, too. He can do it all.

Even though Reigns was largely trained by great names like his uncle Afa, and also Dusty Rhodes, Hogan believes that his father had the most impact on him that we can see to this day.

Hogan’s words tell us that Reigns is not someone who we should take for granted. Another wrestler who has worked closely with The Head of the Table believes that DJ should be wary of him in the future.
