The WWE WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show went for an explosion during the Seth Rollins segment. Not only did The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, come out to a standing ovation, but he also made a choice. The choice is one of the most important and would define this upcoming WrestleMania. He chose who he would face in the Main Event between Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes.

While it is not Reigns’ choice who he will face, this added another dimension to the ordeal. Being the Tribal Chief, Reigns has wanted more power, even going after SmackDown GM Nick Aldis.

During the Seth Rollins segment, The Tribal Chief Reigns and his Wiseman came out. Reigns quickly established that it was now his segment, and he was here to make a decision. The decision was about who he would face at WrestleMania. Despite this option being something only Rhodes had the power to do as the winner of the Royal Rumble.

Reigns said, “I choose The Rock!” While this did get a loud pop, the “We want Cody” chants soon followed. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this moment as Rhodes gave up his spot in the main event to Johnson on the last episode of SmackDown. While that was met with a ton of social media backlash, it seems like Reigns made his choice.

While Rhodes chose to go after Seth Rollins’s WWE World Heavyweight title, now Reigns will face Johnson for the Universal title. Rhodes was quick to come out and say, “This is bull@shit!” He confronted Johnson and Reigns on the stage, and it was clear Rhodes did not like what he heard.

Dwayne Johnson sides with Roman Reigns and turns heel?

During the whole segment, one thing was clear: this was not babyface Johnson. This was the Attitude Era, Nation of Domination, Johnson talking. The Rock’s voice, mannerisms, and everything had changed. He wasn’t the people’s champion; he was someone protecting his bloodline.

This could mean one thing: Johnson wants to be head of the table not cause he’s sick of Reigns ruining the family name but because he wants the power over The Bloodline. Fans absolutely loved this segment as it was the first time we got to see heel Johnson in a modern product. What were your thoughts on this segment? Tell us down below.
