The WWE Universe was recently blessed with the return of two of its biggest wrestling superstars, Randy Orton and CM Punk. The duo made their return on the latest WWE PLE, Survivor Series, which broke multiple viewership and engagement records.

While fans are extremely happy with the return of CM Punk and Randy Orton, the same can’t be said for the WWE roster. These men carry loads of star power and will take up a lot of space in the locker room. Dropping his two cents on the same, an active WWE wrestler broke his silence on the return of Punk and Orton.

Kevin Owens is one of the biggest competitors on the WWE roster right now. The former Universal and US Champion is known for his self-centeredness and ability to take on any opponent and still emerge victorious. Owens recently appeared in a brief video interview with James Williams, who uploaded the video on his YouTube channel.

Speaking on the return of CM Punk, Kevin Owens said, “I just wanna have fun at work. So if he’s got that mindset. Great.” The wrestler seemed quite indifferent and unphased despite the return of perhaps the biggest name in the WWE.

However, Owens was pleased to see Orton back in WWE after so long. He said, “I love Randy. I’m so happy he’s back, and it’s much needed. To me, having him around the locker room is an absolute positive. You know, there are just some people—despite the fact that he’s a fantastic performer, he’s a legend—there are some people who are just good to have around.”

It was clear that Owens houses great admiration for The Apex Predator. In fact, he even claimed that Randy Orton is a leader despite proclaiming himself as one.

KO and his praise for RKO

Kevin Owens further added in the same interview, “He is good to have around; he is good for morale, and he brings a sense of, you know, there are people now—which is what I love about our locker room currently—there are people that are leaders without saying, ‘I’m a leader.’ You know, they don’t need to; they just are. Randy is one of them.” KO extended his admiration for RKO even more and complimented the change in atmosphere he brought into the locker room.

“So when he’s around, everybody just ups their game because Randy Orton is here, and I love that,” noted Kevin Owens. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens share a lot of similarities, especially their drive for singles supremacy, and their lone-wolf persona. Moreover, both wrestlers devour their opponents in every match and ever pull their punches.

On the other hand, CM Punk was fired in 2014, which was the same year Kevin Owens made his main roster debut. Thus, it is quite explanatory why KO doesn’t have the same magnetism towards CM Punk. What are your thoughts about this? Let them flow in the comments.
