Cody Rhodes belongs to one of the families that are popularly known in the wrestling world. His father, Dusty Rhodes, was one of the legendary wrestlers of his time, and he left behind a legacy for his children to follow. However, not all of his kids joined the pro wrestling industry. So, it is about time that fans get acquainted with the rest of the Rhodes family.

Wrestling fans are only aware of Dusty’s two children whom they have seen perform inside the ring. But this is not where the wrestling legend’s legacy stops.

Cody Rhodes is the youngest of them all

As several fans already got to know through The Rock‘s promo on Friday Night SmackDown, The American Nightmare is the youngest son of Dusty Rhodes. Apart from the former AEW EVP fans are well aware of Dustin Rhodes, who has previously shown his prowess in the squared circle. However, the two brothers also have sisters that they grew up with.

From 1965 to 1975, The American Dream was married to Sandra McHargue. The couple bore two children: Dustin Rhodes and Kristin Runnels. While the first son walked a path similar to his father, Kristin did not enter the pro wrestling world.

Three years after his divorce from his ex-wife, Dusty married Michelle Rubio in 1978. This was the marriage that stuck with him for the rest of his life. Cody Rhodes and Teil Runnels were born out of this union, making Dusty have a total of four children.

The late wrestler was blessed with six grandchildren. Liberty Iris Runnels, who blessed Cody and Brandi Rhodes with her presence on June 18, 2021, is one of them.

Thanks to the hard work that the Rhodes family has put in, they are well-respected in the pro wrestling industry. Recently, WWE honored Dusty Rhodes and the family he left behind. First, WWE honored Cody Rhodes by putting him on the standard cover of the video game. The promotion later announced that fans could also buy the Nightmare Family Pack in WWE 2k24. As part of this edition, both Cody and Dusty Rhodes will be playable characters on the roster. Fans will get to play as the 1976 version of the star when he was in his prime.

Apart from getting to play as past versions of Cody Rhodes, the pre-order bundle also included the wrestler’s pet dog Pharaoh as a Gold Rarity Card Manager. Fans were excited as this announcement was made public.
