Rollins spoke about it in a recent chat with popular podcast host Ryan Satin. He opened up about his feelings about facing Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39.

Rollins also discussed missing out on the main event at the wrestling extravaganza, which was handed to Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

The Prince of Pro Wrestling returned several months later at Royal Rumble 2023. As the last man standing, Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, hoping to complete his story. This started a new feud, while the WWE sidelined the existing Cody Rhodes-Seth Rollins rivalry.

That led to two things: One, Rhodes made his comeback and straightaway got a main-event shot. Two, Seth Rollins had to start a new beef with Logan Paul. As exciting a performer as he is, isn’t a regular in WWE. This left Rollins with resentment.

“I mean, look, jealousy is not necessarily the right word. At the end of the day, it’s show business, and that’s how it works sometimes,” he told Satin when asked if he was jealous that Rhodes got elevated ahead of him.

“Life’s just not fair,” he said. “It’s not always a meritocracy,” The Visionary added.

He also said that a wrestler has to remain prepared mentally to face the snub. Rollins explained that WWE filled the roster with talented people who are vying for the top stop. However, Rollins also said that “I’d be lying though if I told you there was no resentment. Jealousy? No.”

Meanwhile, he recalled his match with Paul and revealed why he was sure about the positive response it would garner.

Why was Seth Rollins so sure that his short-lived rivalry with Logan Paul would work?

Logan Paul and Seth Rollins squared off for an entertaining match on night one of WrestleMania 39. There was a massive surprise as Paul managed to sneak in KSI- his business partner- and colluded with him in an attempt to win the match. Rollins, however, thwarted their plans and picked up the win.

But before he stepped inside the ring, Rollins and Paul exchanged salvos during the weeks that preceded the marquee event. This boiled the pot and set them on the right track- Rollins as the good guy and Paul as the heel.

“You have one guy- Logan Paul- that the audience simply detested. And I had just spun into a guy that everyone was really happy to see every week. So, I knew we were gonna butt heads in the best possible way and it was going to be really good,” he said.

The Monday Night Messiah reckoned that their characters, which he stated as “diametrically opposed”, helped set up the feud and thus the match.

Seth Rollins also surprised many when he broke character to praise his WrestleMania 39 opponent after coming down hard on him earlier. Paul and Rollins have since ended their feud. While Rollins is busy defending his title virtually at every show, Paul has reignited his beef with Ricochet.
