John Cena is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. Even though Cena is making occasional appearances in WWE at the moment because of his busy schedule, the WWE Universe still loves him.

Even though the former WWE Champion is away from in-ring action, he is still making the headlines because of his acting skills.

Cena is delivering hits one after the other in Hollywood. And his reputation as an actor just keeps on growing. Recently appearing in a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cena talked about James Gunn and compared him to the WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

Both these individuals are no strangers to John Cena. The former WWE Champion obviously got a great relationship with Vince McMahon.

Cena has a great relationship with James Gunn. Gunn and Cena once again reunited in the ‘Peacemaker’ television series after the success of ‘The Suicide Squad’ movie.

Cena said, “Every day, even when I’m not working on a project with James, I was saying to him yesterday, I hear his voice in the back of my head. He very much reminds me of Vince McMahon.”

“Vince McMahon has these little moments where it’s like a small nugget of wisdom that never leaves you and you always remember it. And James has bestowed, you know, 10 or more of those on me to make me a better professional,” he added.

When did Cena last appear in WWE?

It is a secret to none that Cena loves WWE and the WWE Universe. Fans got disappointed at WrestleMania 37 after Cena did not appear at the PPV.

However, Cena made an astonishing return at the 2021 WWE Money in the Bank PPV.

The former WWE Champion battled Roman Reigns at the 2021 WWE SummerSlam PPV. Despite putting on an impressive performance, Cena lost to Reigns. That marked Cena’s last appearance in WWE in 2021.

Though it is unsure whether Cena will appear at WrestleMania 38 but all his fans will hope that Cena returns to WWE in 2022.
