John Cena’s Peacemaker Proves Massive Hit Overtaking “The Witcher” and “Star Wars” to Become Biggest Series of 2022

John Cena worked in Suicide Squad 2 where he portrayed the character, The Peacemaker. This was the first time this character was brought to the audience, and the fans loved it!

Cena’s portrayal of the character was so perfect that it prompted HBO Max to offer him an entire series for The Peacemaker.

The first season finally released in January 2022, and since then has risen to the top of the charts. According to reports, the HBO Max original has surpassed The Witcher, The Book of Boba Fett, and other series which are in-demand on various platforms.

According to Parrot Analytics and reports, The Peacemaker starring John Cena was 69.5 times more in-demand when compared to other TV series.

It was rather important for John Cena’s first series to become a hit. He worked extremely hard for it and has grown to truly own The Peacemaker character!

John Cena possibly left WWE to shoot for The Peacemaker series

The Champ came back to WWE at Money in the Bank 2021. He worked a storyline with Roman Reigns which lasted all the way till SummerSlam 2021.

Now, when he returned, he worked all the dates because he didn’t want to disappoint any fan who purchased a ticket to see him. As a result, he had to put his entire Hollywood schedule on hold.

After SummerSlam 2021, Cena bid a fond farewell to the WWE Universe, but promised to come back again.

It’s possible he took the break after SummerSlam 2021 to resume his Hollywood schedule and start shooting for the series. Apart from The Peacemaker series, he even signed a contract for a sequel to his 2021 hit movie, Vacation Friends.

Coming to his possible WWE return, it doesn’t seem like Cena is coming back anytime soon.

Currently, WWE is already working with Brock Lesnar. If another megastar comes back, the current talent will get crushed in their shadow. It’s quite possible the company is keeping only one megastar at a time.

However, if Cena comes back, the fans will want to have him in a feud with a younger talent on the main roster for the push. After Royal Rumble 2022, the WWE Universe seems a tad bit frustrated with the company constantly pushing the top Superstars and overlooking the other men and women on the roster.
