Today’s SmackDown kicked off with the contract signing segment between Roman Reigns and LA Knight. The crowd of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, saw the two superstars make their match official at WWE Crown Jewel for the WWE Universal Championship.

But before they both even signed the contract, Knight deliberately did something unthinkable to insult his upcoming opponent, which made The Tribal Chief quite mad as pretty evident by the look on his face.

LA Knight interrupts Roman Reigns’ entrance

As Reigns made his entrance today, Knight’s music cut through his music and the latter came out from backstage. It was a clear sign of disrespect, which made Reigns shocked and furious at the same time. To add to the insult, Knight entered the ring first and sat at the head of the table seat, where Reigns usually sits during contract signing segments.

Well, that’s not all. Knight provoked the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion further by asking him to acknowledge him, as he was the one who was sitting at the head of the table. No one has ever dared to insult Reigns like this before which is why Reigns was equally surprised as he was mad.

Looks like the table is set for an intense fight between the two at Crown Jewel, as Knight continues to fan the flames. But before their grand showdown at the upcoming event, the two had a quick brawl on SmackDown today.

Knight humiliates Reigns again

Reigns was quite pissed at Knight for insulting him on the kickoff segment. He even tried to attack him after signing on the dotted line, but his Crown Jewel opponent turned the tables. During the segment, Knight even put Jimmy Uso through the table as the latter tried to attack him.

In a backstage segment, the fans saw Reigns ordering Paul Heyman to set up a match between Jimmy Uso and Knight later that night. The main event took place for a while and Knight came out on top pinning his opponent for the night.

As he went to celebrate his win of the night, Reigns tried to attack him from behind and deliver a spear. But Knight countered and hit him with a BFT instead. With this SmackDown went off air. It was a solid humiliation that Knight laid on Reign’s face just days before their epic showdown at Crown Jewel.
