Logan Paul’s Spectacular WWE Run in 2023 Captures AEW Manager’s Attention

While WWE is still known for the reign of its legends, it has also hired a lot of new talent in recent years. Leading this formidable list of new recruits is WWE Superstar Logan Paul. The Maverick has established himself as a risk-taker and a go-getter, turning multiple heads, especially in 2023.

Interestingly, one of the heads the YouTuber turned pro wrestler has turned belongs to a rival company. In fact, a social media tweet reveals that this rival admirer is none other than AEW manager CJ Perry.

CJ Perry praises Logan Paul’s professional wrestling athleticism

Ex-WWE Superstar CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, recently commended the reigning United States Champion, Logan Paul, in a tweet. Since signing a multi-event contract with the Stamford-based promotion on June 30, 2022, Paul has been excellent at creating a buzz.

He made a comeback from injury during the 2023 Royal Rumble match at 29. In a memorable moment, the YouTuber engaged with Ricochet, executing a mid-air clash movement that generated significant reactions from the WWE Universe. 

Wrestle Ops shared a clip of this impressive stunt, prompting CJ Perry to respond with praise for the current United States Champion. She expressed her admiration for Logan Paul’s athleticism and highlighted how rapidly he has embraced the world of professional wrestling. 

“Incredible how athletic @LoganPaul is. I am so impressed by how quickly he has picked up professional wrestling,” wrote CJ Perry. It was marked as one of the standout moments of the match.

Surprisingly, the wrestler had commented on a WWE wrestler, particularly considering the rocky past she has with the promotion. Perry disclosed the trivial rationale behind her exclusion from WWE television.

Lana’s absence from WWE TV amidst false accusations and personal reflection

During her WWE tenure, Lana faced a hiatus from TV due to false accusations of leaking engagement photos with Miro. In a 2021 Talk is Jericho interview, CJ Perry clarified that she only shared the pictures privately with friends, and they were leaked without her intention.

She said, “I got in trouble for that. I wasn’t on television for three months. And I was on television straight for two years. I was made to feel it was all my fault. I had to take the blame. And for years I thought maybe it was my fault. For years.” Perry, feeling unjustly blamed, reflected on the incident for years and emphasized the importance of keeping her word. It was especially in the context of a later storyline with Bobby Lashley.
