Maven Huffman has become one of the most prominent names in the world of wrestling on the internet this year thanks to his YouTube channel. The former WWE wrestler usually publishes interesting videos where he explains and reveals stories, secrets, and anecdotes of the industry, and has already reached almost two hundred thousand subscribers.

And now he is even invited as a guest on other YouTube channels to reveal more backstage stories from the WWE. Which he did in a recent appearance, and shared the advice the Rock gave to him before WrestleMania 18. What was the advice? Let’s find out!

Maven Huffman recently joined Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, discussing WWE experiences and sharing nerves before WrestleMania 18. Vliet posted a clip of that podcast on Instagram. “This was WrestleMania and I’m obviously terrified. And Rocky sees me, he comes & and you know, he’s just like the epitome of cool. But he’s like, “Mave!” So I’m like ‘Yes, He’s going to give me the secret! He’s gonna give me the special sauce.’ And he literally goes, “No one’s expecting much out of you. Just do the best you can,” said Maven.

Huffman was part of the WWE cast at the beginning of the first decade of the century. However, he never came to prominence in the company, and his most remembered moment came when he eliminated Undertaker at Royal Rumble 2002. As for the Rock, he has been the biggest newsmaker for the WWE in the past few months. So much so, that a former WWE superstar couldn’t help but criticize the Brahma Bull.

Former WWE superstar Nic Nemeth’s criticism of the Rock

In recent weeks, The Rock’s participation in WWE has increased considerably. Highlighting his rivalry with Cody Rhodes as one of the main draws of the programming. Likewise, the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns has been relegated to the background. In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, former WWE wrestler and current TNA competitor Nic Nemeth expressed his thoughts on the current WWE situation.

According to Nemeth, it looks like The Rock is hogging more of the spotlight than Reigns right now. However, he also noted that he understands that this is the current dynamic. Given that Rhodes and Reigns have been building their own rivalry for over a year.

“It does make Roman look like a little brother — a little bit. We had a year and nine months before The Rock of this two-year story, so I get it. He doesn’t have to mimic The Rock. He doesn’t even have to talk about him. This is a moment for him to be right back on schedule, let him say whatever he wants. This is the biggest story in the business, and this is the guy you have to beat. We all know The Rock’s involved. We all know that the back and forth has only been Rock and Cody. Let’s get back to the championship match. I really think I want them to sell me on WrestleMania, not just watching on TV. Why I need to be in the building for this moment?”

While Nemeth’s points do have merit, it’s possible that WWE wanted to take a different approach at this point. Also, it seems that this story is far from over, so it will be necessary to wait to have a full opinion on everything that has happened. What do you think? Is the Rock hijacking the fan’s attention?
