The latest episode of SmackDown had everyone on the edge of their seats. Apart from Dwayne Johnson’s surprise return, something else unfolded in the episode. For more than a few weeks, fans were waiting to see John Cena sit and have a chat with Grayson Waller on his show, The Grayson Waller Effect. The hype built up to a massive level as even Cena expressed his excitement about attending the show. However, a few unexpected guests showed up to deviate from the course.

We saw Jimmy Uso take to the ring. The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman followed him. A fight broke off between Uso and Cena. Moreover, Sikoa got himself involved as he ended up attacking Cena. However, it was later revealed by Sikoa that he attacked The Leader of Cenation for some other personal reason, and it had nothing to do with Jimmy Uso.

Vendettas are not a new thing in WWE. Sikoa shored an iconic photo from the past on his Instagram. This image revealed that there was a personal reason for attacking the Hollywood star. It was a split image. In the image, we can see Cena and Sikoa standing close to each other and having a stare-down. Below we can see something similar. In this image, Cena is seen having a stare-off with none other than Umaga.

John Cena and Umaga’s rivalry started off in late 2006. Umaga embarked on an unbeaten streak and attained a shot to challenge John Cena for glory. The Samoan Bulldozer posed a significant threat to Cena’s WWE championship reign. They faced off against each other at New Year’s Revolution 2007, where John Cena defeated him. But the rivalry only intensified and led to a last-man-standing match in Royal Rumble 2007. Cena was once again able to defeat him thus, retaining his title and ended the rivalry in decisive fashion.

Umaga passed away in 2009. The late star happens to be Solo Sikoa’s uncle and mentor. His grudge with John Cena now holds more weight, as he was his uncle’s nemesis.

Sikoa aims to complete his story for his uncle

Pro wrestling has evolved a lot compared to how it was a few decades ago. As there are generations of pro wrestlers now, there is a legacy to hold on to. A classic example is that of The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. He comes from a legacy of fighters. His half-brother Dustin Rhodes wrestled under the ring name Gold Dust. And his father was Dusty Rhodes also known as the American Dream. Since Dusty Rhodes hasn’t won any major championships in his, Cody Rhodes made it his mission to win the Universal Championship title.

The same goes for Sikoa. His uncle Umaga faced defeat at the hands of John Cena. He wants revenge and despite the lack of a title on the waist of Cena, the significance of his revenge won’t be lessened. Maybe The Street Champion will challenge John Cena to a Last Man Standing match just like his uncle. This could mean fans might get to see a street fight between both of them, as Sikoa is an expert at that.
