As we well know, CM Punk has been somewhat of a problematic figure in the realm of pro wrestling. After his heated departure from the WWE, Punk joined AEW. Then ‘the Cult of Personality’ left behind a series of scandals within the Florida-based promotion. The current WWE star was part of multiple altercations backstage at Tony Khan’s company, including that physical incident involving The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Ace Steel.

And now it seems like he still has some backstage heat, as revealed by his nemesis, Drew McIntyre.

In a recent interview uploaded by the WWE, a fan on Twitter asked Drew McIntyre why he seems to be the only one having an issue with CM Punk. And it was then that the Scottish Warrior revealed the backstage truth. Punk still attracts a lot of backstage heat. He said, “When he was there, there was lots of people with problems with him. But now that he’s not there, I’m the only one keeping his name alive. So, that’s why if he was there, there was a crap ton of people who had a problem with CM Punk. Trust me. Even if they’re not saying it publicly.”

Well, we can guess that one of them would be Seth Rollins. When Punk made his return at Survivor Series, The Visionary began hurling expletives at Punk while Michael Cole and some assistants tried to calm him down. Seth Rollins even called Punk a ‘cancer’ once after The Second City Saint said very bad things about him in the past, according to the Architect. So he would be loving every callout and insult that the Scotsman throws toward Punk, the latest being him dedicating his Elimination Chamber win to Punk.
