Pat McAfee’s WrestleMania Opponent Slaps the Headset Off His Head in Utterly Disrespectful Move

Pat McAfee secured a major scoop when he interviewed Vince McMahon on The Pat McAfee Show. On that show, McMahon offered McAfee the chance to enter the ring for a match at WrestleMania. The commentator accepted the offer against an unknown opponent, who revealed himself on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Tonight’s SmackDown emanated from the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, and built up multiple storylines on the road to WrestleMania 38. A surprise on the night, saw Raw brand superstar Austin Theory enter the ring.

As he made his way into the ring, Austin got on the mic and introduced himself as Mr. McMahon’s protégé. However, he didn’t stop there and moved to the commentators’ table. Once there, Theory told McAfee, “I’m your opponent at WrestleMania.”

He disrespected Pat McAfee by slamming his headset off his head and humiliating him. The commentator may have expected a feud, but the manner in which it began may have made things personal.

For several weeks, the Raw Brand Superstar has had multiple segments with the WWE Chairman on television. He has been trying to gain opportunities for himself and impress Vince McMahon.

Theory has fought with the likes of Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and even against five other men inside the Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship.

Now, he will have another chance to impress Mr. McMahon when he takes on the former NFL star at The Stupendous WrestleMania 38.

The WWE Chairman found a perfect opponent for McAfee to battle at The Showcase of the Immortals.

Pat McAfee was grateful that Mr. McMahon appeared on his podcast. He is among the few superstars who had the opportunity to chit-chat with the WWE chairman on air. Also, with the recent visits of Austin Theory to Mr. McMahon’s office, it appears that both men will be looking forward to the opportunity to impress Vince McMahon.
