One such incident happened on the recent episode of SmackDown titled, New Year’s Revolution. This time, Paul ended up incurring the wrath of a former WWE champion and his 2024 Royal Rumble opponent, Kevin Owens. And it is safe to say that Owens decided that he would not let it slide this time.

How Kevin Owens taught Logan Paul a lesson

Talking to Instagram, Logan Paul shared a picture with his fans. In the picture, he could be seen with a black eye. This black eye was given to him by none other than the Prize Fighter, Kevin Owens. While many thought that it might not be anything serious, Paul wrote, “He actually got me,” stating that the punch was real.

In the latest episode of SmackDown, Owens entered the final match to determine who would be Paul’s next contender for his United States Championship title. The fight was between Owens and LWO’s former member, Santos Escobar. While Owens suffered a lot of injuries during the bout, he ended up securing the win.

Paul is not particularly a fan of Owens. So when the former Universal Champion secured a spot to challenge Paul for his title at the 2024 Royal Rumble, the current champion did not take it quite well. He entered the ring to have a word with Owens. However, Owens was not in the mood to talk with Paul and decided to just punch him.

However, the story might not be over yet. Following the bout, Paul met with a certain duo. Chances are that they may come together to thwart Kevin Owens before the big showdown.

Following the events, an injured Paul was seen backstage. While the backstage crew tried to interview him, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory reached the scene. They helped Paul and showed sympathy towards the 28-year-old star. While this might look pretty harmless on the surface, things might not be looking good for Kevin Owens.

Both Waller and Theory were in the tournament to be the next United States Champions. However, Owens was the eventual winner, securing the title shot. On top of that, Owens is known for having a sharp distaste towards Waller and Theory. Their allegiance towards Paul could mean one thing, their interruption during the showdown. Interruptions during a bout have been a common practice at WWE and fans won’t be surprised if that happens during the Owens vs Paul fight.
