The recent Royal Rumble Premium Live Event had its ups and downs. While fans enjoyed the Women’s Rumble, they had their reservations about the Men’s battle royal. A lack of surprises, big names, and a predictable outcome made it an underwhelming experience for the fans. However, the match still had its moments and one of them involved The Judgement Day leader Finn Balor and the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ Edge.

One of the few surprises in the Men’s Royal Rumble match was the return of Edge. The Hall of Famer had been out of action since losing an ‘I Quit Match’ to Finn Balor at Extreme Rules in October last year. He entered the match at number 24 and quickly eliminated Balor and his faction mate, Damien Priest. But Dominik Mysterio was able to get Edge over the top rope with help from Balor and Priest. This led to a scuffle outside the ring, with Edge chasing Balor up the ramp. And now Balor has shared a photo of the chase and cheekily referenced Jamaican sprinter and Olympics legend Usain Bolt.

Edge has been at loggerheads with Finn Balor ever since the former NXT Champion usurped him as the leader of The Judgement Day. Their rivalry took a personal turn after Rhea Ripley hit Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix with ‘Con-Chair-To’ after forcing Edge to lose the ‘I Quit Match’. Both Edge and Phoenix stayed away from the action until the Royal Rumble PLE.

Balor and his cohorts had been doing well for themselves in the Rumble match when Edge entered at number 24. In no time, the 11-time World Champion had eliminated both Balor and The Archer of Infamy Damien Priest. But The Judgement Day wasn’t done. Both eliminated members helped Dominik to throw Edge over the top rope. An enraged Edge then began fighting Balor at the ringside.

‘The Prince’ Finn Balor ducked a clothesline from Edge and began running up the ramp, with the Hall of Famer furiously chasing him down. Even though Edge was able to get his hands on him, this didn’t stop the first-ever Universal Champion from posting a tweet referencing the eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt. Balor wrote in the caption, “Usain Bálor. Ps: i tripped on a camera cable.”

In the photo, fans can see Balor running away while a riled-up Edge chases him down. Well, this Usain Bolt-inspired moniker shouldn’t distract from the fact that Balor wasn’t able to sprint away from Edge. We are not sure how Usain Bolt would react to Balor giving himself a nickname inspired by the legendary sprinter, but Balor will definitely need to improve his sprinting skills.

For the moment, there seems to be at least one more chapter left in The Judgement Day’s rivalry with Edge and Beth Phoenix. A mixed tag team with another name into the mix or even a one-on-one encounter between Edge and Balor at WrestleMania could settle the score.
