Prior to Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns and Another Former WWE Champion Sidelined With Serious Injury

The Road to WrestleMania has nearly arrived and will kick-start with Royal Rumble next month. Royal Rumble is one of the most anticipated events of the year, with many surprise appearances.

However, this year might be even more special with rumors of The Rock returning and facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes, who was injured earlier this year, is also rumored to return and face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. Reigns is expected to work both nights of the event. However, recent news has arrived which might disappoint the fans to their core.

Injuries are a part of sport, and athletes often suffer major injuries while competing. However, as per latest news, The Tribal Chief Romans has suffered a major injury during WWE Survivor Series at the hands of The Prizefighter.

WWE SmackDown has one of the strongest rosters in the company, with several top WWE Superstars in it. Starting from Roman Reigns, The Bloodline, The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens. However, it now seems, the SmackDown roster might fall a bit weak.

After Survivor Series 2022 was done with, Roman Reigns went backstage and was irritated about a spot that had happened.

Kevin Owens had slapped Roman Reigns hard enough to rupture his ear drum. Reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, also state about Reigns’ ruptured eardrum, alongside Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior also suffered the same fate as Reigns.

Both men are now sidelined with injury, and there seems to be no confirmation on their return date.

What are the future plans for Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre on the ‘Road to WrestleMania’?

Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre are two of the biggest stars in the company currently. While Reigns is the top heel, McIntyre plays the biggest baby face in the company right now. However, there seems to be no confirmed plan for McIntyre right now.

The Tribal Chief is currently scheduled to engage in a rivalry with Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble, after which he is supposed to face Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, and, either The Rock or Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania.

However, these are just reports and nothing is confirmed. Roman Reigns is also currently rumored to work both nights of the event, signifying a title split, and two different champions.
