“Real Life Homelander”: Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania XL Appearance Likened to ‘The Boys’ Superhero Online

The biggest match of the year was the one between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes on night 2 of WrestleMania 40. The Tribal Chief put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line in what is a historic reign, and Rhodes opts to finish his dream, of becoming world champion.

And as the American Nightmare finally achieved his dream, he has become a superhero for his fans. Quite literally, as the fans believe this his attire for his entrance tonight resembled Homelander from ‘The Boys.’

Cody Rhodes has dethroned Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania tonight. While last year he didn’t manage to come out of the big event as the winner, this year the story was different, and everything pointed to The American Nightmare becoming the world champion in the biggest professional wrestling event. And his superhero story gets a fitting theme as his entrance tonight featured him looking like one. At least that’s what the fans think, as they likened him to Homelander from the Boys.

From the patriot-style jacket, golden shoulder pads, and cape to the blonde hair, Rhodes is fitting the part. And just like Homelander, Rhodes seems to be the all-powerful right now as it takes the entire Bloodline to stop the American Nightmare. But he stood out on top. And the fans are surely able to see a lot of resemblance.
