Every wrestler in the WWE has that one match they consider a dream match. For WWE icon Rey Mysterio, this would be a match against his own son, Dominik Mysterio. But what would be at stake for a father-son showdown of this proposition? Rey explains the special stipulation that would heighten the tension around the match.

If there is one thing that Rey holds dear to himself other than his family, it is his mask. However, in his match against his son, he wants a stipulation that would take that away as well.

But a match pitting father against son should have a special stipulation, according to Rey. While on the MMA Hour, he talked about his dream match against his son.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Rey said, “Why not? I would love that. I don’t think we’ve ever seen that here. Imagine him bald. Don’t imagine me without the mask, you already know.” When asked what would be the stipulation of the match, he would want to have.

Rey is talking about a mask vs hair match. Dirty Dom has maintained long hair since joining The Judgment Day. Rey would love the opportunity to beat his son and have him go bald. This would teach Dom a lesson in betraying his family. If Rey were to lose, he would unmask. For a lucha wrestler, their masks carry their honor and dignity. The current United States champion has already overcome his son at WrestleMania this year. However, a hair vs mask match would be a more challenging affair with higher stakes.

Dom did not only betray his father but also his father’s friend, Edge. During the 2022 Clash at the Castle PPV event, Dom turned against his father after hitting Edge with a low blow. This was him swearing allegiance with The Judgment Day. Since then, Rey has been trying to get his son out of the hands of The Judgment Day. However, that is a task for another day as he aims to overcome a new challenger that vies for his gold.
