Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller shook the world with their “shoey” moment from the Elimination Chamber press conference earlier today. For those who are unaware, it is an Australian tradition in which alcohol is poured into one’s shoe and then downed. Many famous people have done it, including UFC star Tai Tuivasa, and Hollywood stars such as Gerald Butler, Daniel Radcliffe, and more. While it is a cool moment, it also poses some harm. However, former WWE World Champion, Becky Lynch has stated that she has an upper hand over The Eradicator when it comes to doing risky things.

How is Becky Lynch ahead of Rhea Ripley?

In an interview following the EC press conference, The Man talked about a moment from her childhood that made doing the shoey look like child’s play. When asked whether she would do a shoey if she won the Elimination Chamber, Lynch said yes and also that she was no stranger to it. However, she believes that she has done something way worse when she was a kid. She said that during her childhood, she was not allowed to have chewing gum and thus relied on some pretty unconventional ways to source gum instead.

“When I was a kid. We weren’t allowed any chewing gum. We used to scrape the chewing gum off the ground with pennies that we would find around the house. Pennies are gross as it is. Then we’d eat it.” She further added, “(A shoey is) nothing. We were disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. I think I have a great immune system ever since.”

Before she can down a beer from her shoe, Lynch will have to face five formidable women of WWE. However, Lynch doing a shoey might be a possibility according to one pro wrestling legend.

Chances of Becky Lynch winning the Elimination Chamber

Pro wrestling journalist Bill Apter is rooting for Lynch to win the Elimination Chamber and main event at WrestleMania 40. According to him, it is the right time for her to do so because, “if she doesn’t win this, where does she go from here?” However, he also stated what Lynch should do if she is unable to win at WrestleMania 40.
