“Right Thing to Do”: Deceased WWE Legend, Who Made Millions With Hulk Hogan, Admitted Being Jealous of Him Once

The name Hulk Hogan will always be on the top when we think of the most influential personalities in pro wrestling. The Hollywood Hogan changed people’s perspective toward entertainment sports after his debut in 1980. Hogan was always the center of attention, making his former partner jealous of him.

One of the hottest storylines in the late 90s in the pro wrestling world was from the stable New World Order (nWo). The stable had mainly three members: Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. The stable made its debut in 1996 on WCW. Only in a couple of years, nWo was the leading storyline on the product.

Despite the fame and money received by the audience from the stable, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall felt left out. In an interview, the WWE legend Scott Hall confessed how he felt envious and jealous of Hogan during their time as a group.

Scott Hall, who used to appear alongside Hogan, stated how Hogan’s aura used to overpower him and Nash. “I was very envious, and I guess jealous of Hulk. We always said he can do his part, book him with the right guy. Hulk can do his part.”

“For most of his career, he was a hero, and he won, and he was great at being a villain. Being a heel it’s a little bit different, it’s a little more difficult. That wasn’t really his forte, but he did it,” the late WWE Hall of Famer added. 

Notably, The Diamond Studd made millions, even after he left WWE and joined WCW in the late nineties, thanks to the fame he gained while showing up alongside Hulk Hogan.

How Hulk Hogan overshadowed Nash and Hall

Hulk Hogan always overshadowed Scott Hall and Kevin Nash until the stable was divided into two categories, separating Hogan from Nash and Hall. “I think we protected Hogan because we featured him where you don’t get to Hulk ’cause it was the right thing to do,” said Scott Hall.

Kevin Nash, who ended Goldberg’s undefeated streak in WCW, also stated that Hogan always had an upper hand in the storyline. “We almost had that kind of thug you know, street cred type thing going on and then we gave that rub to Hulk. At the same time, he gave us that incredible iconic light like Hogan’s bad.”

The time of the iconic stable ended on WCW in 2001. Next year, the trio made an entrance in WWE, the place where Hogan had the most illustrious stint. WWE inducted the nWo into the Hall of Fame in the class of 2020.
