His chance has been arbitrarily transferred to Dwayne Johnson, which has made fans furious. In fact, a recently uploaded video is going viral on the internet as fans are showing mass disapproval for The Rock versus Roman Reigns match forced on them.

WWE recently added a new video to its official YouTube Channel. The video was titled, “FULL SEGMENT: The Rock steps to Roman Reigns on Road To WrestleMania: SmackDown, Feb. 2, 2024”. This video was supposed to generate hype for the WWE title match between Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. However, the plan severely backfired.

The WWE fanbase used this video to showcase their mass disapproval of this forced booking made by WWE. The video carries over 255,000 dislikes and has become the most-hated video ever uploaded by WWE in 9 hours.

Fans in the video can also be heard loudly screaming “Cody, Cody” multiple times. Moreover, the comments section showed clear hate from the fans for this move. Some of the fans were divided between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk as the deserving winner of the Royal Rumble. 

But, everyone united against the blasphemous move of putting Dwayne Johnson over The American Nightmare’s hard-earned victory. The furious WWE Universe feels robbed and the fact that one of their most loved stars’ roles was stolen from them isn’t sitting right with them at all.

Fans were hoping to see the eventual rematch of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns that was in the making for a whole year. In fact, many thought that this would finally be the time when The American Nightmare finishes his story.

The WWE Universe has actively been showing its love for Cody Rhodes for a very long time now. Many fans wanted Rhodes to dethrone Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, their support for him grew ten-fold after he lost, as they cheered for him to get another shot at the WWE title.

During this time, fans saw his amazing biopic as well as voted him as the top pro wrestler across multiple online fan polls. But now, Dwayne Johnson has smashed all of those moments and hijacked the match that has the name Cody Rhodes written all over it.
