Rumor Killer on Vince McMahon Firing His Son Shane McMahon After WWE Royal Rumble

The wrestling fans were taken aback at the start of this month when WWE reportedly quietly let go of Shane McMahon. What followed this was non-stop probable reasons regarding why Shane was fired just days after making his comeback.

Turned out that WWE chairman Vince McMahon, along with other backstage authorities, didn’t like how Shane intervened prior to the Royal Rumble event.

However, it looks like Shane O’Mac is still with WWE. Recently, the owner of South Africa’s Sharks rugby team, Marco Masotti, took to Twitter and announced that he met with Shane McMahon to sign a partnership deal between WWE and rugby.

Now, this is absolutely shocking. Because, as reported, Shane was no longer with the company. However, seeing this recent tweet surely sparked the possibility that Shane is still with the company in some capacity.

“So grateful for a night out with brothers Shane McMahon (son of WWE Vince) and Doug Cifu (co-owner of Florida Panthers). Excited for a partnership between WWE and rugby.” he wrote.

What happened between Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon?

Multiple inside sources reported Vince didn’t like Shane’s interference in the outcome of the men’s Royal Rumble match. Recently, Dave Meltzer also noted that former WWE champion Brock Lesnar was also unhappy seeing Shane changing things at the very last minute.

However, it looks like the father and son have met each other in the middle and have worked out their differences. Eventually, seeing this recent tweet, the WWE superstars can get their morale back knowing that Shane McMahon is still working for WWE.

Currently, Vince McMahon is the CEO, Triple H is the COO, Stephanie McMahon is the CBO, and Nick Khan is the President of the company.

As it is obvious, there is no official designation for Shane in WWE. However, seeing that Vince McMahon sent Shane other than the aforementioned names tells that Shane is apparently still with WWE.
