Several female superstars had a déjà vu moment during the latest episode of WWE RAW. In a fatal four-way tag team match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were crowned the new women’s Tag Team Champions. Four other participants were also a part of the WrestleMania 39 showcase match that was won by the current champions.

Meanwhile, fans weren’t happy with the results. Nevertheless, Rousey fulfilled a wish she made in January this year.

Ronda Rousey wanted to take over the tag team division

Rousey had been one of the top-most athletes in the UFC. When she crossed over to the WWE, she brought with her credibility and had a successful run initially. However, the craze started to die down with each passing match. Soon the cheers transitioned into boos. Her dominance was also curtailed as Charlotte Flair squashed her within minutes to take the SmackDown Women’s Championship from her to end 2022.

However, just days later, Rousey revealed her aspiration for the tag team championship. “I don’t know, guys, I’m kind of tired of Charlotte. I’m tired of that title. I already did it, you know? I’m thinking of taking over the tag division,” she said in January during her live stream on YouTube.

In December last year, Rousey had hinted at her interest in the tag team division. She said a tag run would be fun for her. Meanwhile, Rousey and Baszler faced three other tag teams- Bayley and Iyo Sky, Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi, and Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. Green, Deville, Shotzi, and Rodriguez were also part of the WrestleMania 39 match that was won by the current champions.

However, fans aren’t convinced about Rousey and Baszler as the new champions.

The WWE Universe calls Rousey boring and undeserving

‘The Baddest Woman On The Planet’ caught Shotzi in an armbar, forcing an immediate tap out from Rodriguez’s partner to win the gold. The match became a necessity after Liv Morgan suffered a health scare during her match recently. Morgan and Rodriguez, who held the tag team golds, relinquished the titles, needing new champions for the belts.

Meanwhile, the reactions that followed the title win won’t make Rousey and her 42-year-old partner happy.
