The Undertaker Refused to Return AJ Styles’ Phone Calls for This Reason

AJ Styles and The Undertaker had a major feud leading up to their match at WrestleMania 36. ‘The Phenom’ took on ‘The Phenomenal One’ in a Boneyard Match.

The Undertaker defeated Styles to extend his WrestleMania record to 25-2. People will remember this match for a special reason. As things stand, this was The Undertaker’s last pro wrestling match in his career.

Soon after this match, The Undertaker officially announced his retirement from in-ring competition. He even appeared at WWE Survivor Series 2020 to give a special farewell speech.

Recently, during an interview with Wrestling Inc., AJ Styles opened up on their Boneyard Match and revealed why The Undertaker did not receive his calls after that.

Styles said, “I think we all knew that once the Boneyard match got the reaction that it did, that might be it. I called, and he [The Undertaker] didn’t return my calls. Because he knew, ‘Hey, he’s going to convince me to have another match.’”

‘The Phenom’ is now a WWE Hall of Famer. He recently got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

And the person to induct him was none other than the WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

It was indeed a special moment not only for The Undertaker but also for his beloved fans. The WWE legend looked very emotional during his speech as the fans cheered for him once again.

Will The Undertaker ever return to in-ring competition?

Almost every WWE fan enjoyed watching ‘The Phenom’ wrestle. And they will certainly love to see it again.

Whenever The Undertaker had been asked this question, he always claimed that in his mind and in his heart, he will love to wrestle again.

But his body won’t allow him to perform at the level that fans expect him to do. However, at the end of his WWE Hall of Fame speech, The Undertaker said the words, “Never say never”.

These words sent shocking waves around the entire world as some fans predicted that ‘The Phenom’ might return to in-ring action in the future.
