After Endeavor acquired WWE, the parent company went on to fire several talents who worked in WWE. The partial reason for this was that Endeavor already had some of its employees working in the same places as those in WWE, rendering some of the positions obsolete after the takeover. However, the company also laid off several performing talents from WWE due to budget cuts. Before his name could be on the list, Mustafa Ali announced his walkout from the company.

After Ali left the Stamford-based company, fans were worried about where he will end up. Often, leaving a leading promotion like WWE is stigmatized by the fanbase because it is seen as the downfall of a wrestler. But Ali proved this stigma wrong.

The former WWE star took to his Twitter account and proudly wrote, “In one month: every single show consecutively sold out, record-breaking attendance for promotions, strategic alliances with TNA and NJPW, and most importantly, giving you a reason to believe that IN ALI WE TRUST.

Cody Rhodes quoted Mustafa’s tweet on his account and replied, “So happy for you. Move your own goal posts further and further back – they’ll doubt you, but leave ’em the receipts!” Even though The American Nightmare is still working loyally with WWE, he believes in the capability that Mustafa Ali brings to the table.

Cody Rhodes is so positive about Mustafa Ali’s achievement because the ex-AEW EVP is setting new records for himself as well.
