“They’re Amazing” – Brandi Rhodes Admits Failing to Keep Her “Becky Lynch – Seth Rollins” Promise to Cody Rhodes

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are both considered a power couple in WWE. Even though there have been wrestling couples in WWE before, the two are loved and appreciated even by fellow wrestlers. In a relatively new interview, Brandi Rhodes was featured. During the former WWE star revealed her fondness for Rollins and Lynch. Then she also moved on to admit something.

While praising the couple for being in the promotion and chasing their career together, Brandi admitted that she couldn’t do the same for her husband. Even though Cody Rhodes is doing good in his wrestling career, the couple had decided to continue it together. In the interview, Brandi discussed what is holding them back from becoming like Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Why couldn’t Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes continue wrestling together?

On the red carpet of Cody Rhodes’ documentary, Chris Van Vliet briefly interviewed Brandi Rhodes. He then started asking her various questions that wrestling fans would find interesting. Vliet also asked her if she has retired from pro wrestling. To this question, Rhodes answered affirmatively. She revealed to have taken retirement as an ‘active wrestler’. However, she went on to admit some more things.

“I just said, ‘You know what, okay, well, we’re either gonna do this the Becky Lynch – Seth Rollins way.’ And they are amazing for doing it. Because I can’t. It was just too hard — well, not too hard, but just something that I just didn’t think would be the best for the family,” admitted WWE’s former ring announcer.

Brandi Rhodes considers both Rollins and his wife ‘amazing’ for pulling off what they do. According to her, it’s not an easy task for a couple to be wrestlers together, especially in the same promotion. So, Brandi and Cody Rhodes worked out what was best for the family. While Cody pursued wrestling further, Brandi continues her business.

Even though Brandi Rhodes adores the couple for pursuing wrestling together, the storyline they did together did not work out well for either of them. In an interview a few days ago, Seth Rollins revealed the reason behind the same.

Despite being happily married, why couldn’t Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch work out a storyline together in the long run?

When he sat down in an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Seth Rollins talked about several things. One of the topics of conversation was the fact that he and his wife couldn’t run their 2019 shared storyline for a long time. The main reason that Rollins gave for this was that he and ‘The Man’ have always been strong independently. Despite having a happy marriage outside the squared circle, their in-ring characters were better on their own.

He even connected this to his ‘depression’ that he had years ago. The Architect had to make room for a lot of things. He had to find himself before he could succeed in a storyline in which he was sharing the limelight with someone. This was primarily because of the self-doubts he had.

Rollins also confessed that if given the chance again, he would like to give another shot at a storyline, including Becky Lynch and him as an on-screen couple too.
