“This Country Has A Problem”- CM Punk Sends A Powerful Message Amidst Nationwide Protests

The WWE universe has been expecting CM Punk to return to in-ring action for quite some time now. While the star has been teasing a return, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
The Voice of the Voiceless has seen himself in the midst of controversy a number of times in the past, most notably for his infamous ‘Pipebomb’ on WWE.
Punk appeared on the latest episode of WWE Backstage on Fox. He commented on the tragic death of George Floyd that has caused a lot of outrage in the United States.

The Former Superstar has come out in support for Floyd and has slammed the condition of the country.
CM Punk speaks on behalf of his fellow citizens
CM Punk was asked about his feelings on the prevailing state of the country. Punk revealed that he is not capable of understanding how African-American people feel, simply because he is not one of them. However, he implores people to try and understand them.
“I’m a white guy, I’m not here to pretend to understand how black people feel, and I don’t think that it’s my place to tell them how they need to react. This country has a problem, that much I know.

“I’m here to tell white people that you need to listen to your black brothers and sisters, and you need to understand where they are coming from. It’s hard to try to walk in somebody’s shoes or to understand where they come from,” Punk stated.

Punk mentions that the country has a problem. He remarks that the only way to deal with intolerance is intolerance. He takes a dig at how the US works by saying white people are privileged, but that privilege should be used to support others.
Punk concludes by asking white people to use their voice. The voice that can protect their African-American brethren.
“If you’re white, use your voice, protect your black brothers and sisters and protect the people that this country was not built for. They might say it was, but everyone has a different experience. And just listen more,” Punk remarked.

The country lost yet another innocent soul due to persisting racism. People need to pay attention to those who are downtrodden and suffer injustices on a regular basis. Only then the country can finally have harmony in its truest form.
