She herself is an icon, winning the women’s championship seven times and paving the way for many women in WWE. But before she became a force to be reckoned with, Stratus worked with The Rock for a program.

Stratus planted a kiss on Johnson’s cheek as a gesture of her gratitude. Taking it a notch higher, The Great One returned the favor with a French kiss, capping off the segment. Interestingly, this wasn’t a big deal for Stratus’ then-boyfriend and now husband Ron Fisico.

Speaking about the interaction they shared pertaining to the kiss, Stratus told Renee Paquette on the latter’s Oral Sessions podcast in 2021 that Fisico took it positively. “‘I have to kiss The Rock tonight.’ He’s like, ‘Cool. That’s going to be great for your character.’ Amazing, right? As opposed to what maybe another husband might say,” the 47-year-old shared.

Fisico and Stratus dated for a long time before tying the knot in 2006, almost five years after the famous kissing segment.

Meanwhile, that’s not the only interaction Stratus and Johnson shared. She revealed the 51-year-old’s advice to her recently.

The Brahma Bull is undoubtedly one of the most versatile pro wrestlers in the history of the sport. With a sound technique equipped with robust mic skills, Johnson knew how to work the crowd and holds the power to influence the WWE universe even today, several years after he traded wrestling for his career in Hollywood.

But do you know that Dwayne Johnson thought Stratus had it in her to become the next Rock? Yes, the anecdote was shared by the diva herself this May during a chat with Ryan Satin.

Just weeks prior to her match against Becky Lynch at WWE Night of Champions, Stratus spoke to Satin on the latter’s Out Of Character podcast. She told the host that Johnson was generous and offered her help during her initial phase in the WWE.

“He took me aside one time and he said, ‘You could be the female Rock.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah. That sounds good. Yes, I want to do that.’,” Stratus told Satin.

Though Stratus retired in 2006, feuding with other notable opponents such as Lita, she remains a legend in women’s wrestling history. Since her return in 2022, the Hall of Famer has channelized some of her past work that brought her acclaim.
