Brock Lesnar looks like an unstoppable force of nature. The Beast Incarnate maintains his physique ridiculously well, to compete as a professional wrestler in the WWE. He found many fans for the sheer strength he displays to drop the biggest of wrestlers like Big Show using his signature move, F5.

Back in 2003, WWE wanted to capitalize on this inhuman strength of the champion to film a quirky advertisement for WWE SummerSlam. However, they went a little over-the-top and made him fight an actual predator. Moreover, many unassuming TV viewers felt the shark was real.

Panic sets into the whole crowd as they rush to the exit. Does this sound familiar? Well, that’s because this commercial took a lot of cues from the 1975 summer blockbuster, ‘Jaws’. Brock Lesnar doesn’t mess around with the predator and lifts it from the waters. The WWE superstar proceeds to treat it like every other wrestler who was unfortunate enough to get into the ring with him. The poor shark gets hurled onto the ground with an F5 and learns its lesson the hard way.

However, back in the day, this commercial raised a lot of eyebrows. Many fans thought Lesnar inflicted damage upon a living, breathing shark. But that’s not the case, as it was only a clever usage of visual effects to bring a dummy shark to life. The realistic effects caused a reaction, which means the commercial succeeded in its purpose.
