Not giving up on your dreams is something only the bold can do. Dwayne Johnson surely appears to be one of them. In 2020, acquired the dying XFL for $15 million before it could go extinct. He did this to fulfill his urge to enter the field of football. For the unaware, The Rock was greatly focused on football during his high school and college years.

So, re-launching XFL became Johnson’s primary goal as soon as he saw the opportunity. With the help of a dedicated team, the Hollywood star successfully rebooted the league. However, XFL faced a tremendous loss after its first season this year. But it appears that Johnson is far from over.

The WWE legend went all in this year to uplift a dying league. The minors football league showed promise when it was revived and brought into the limelight again. It faced a loss of around $60 Million, which is not ‘small’ in any case.

However, Johnson doesn’t want to give up on it yet. The way he clings to the promotion just shows how he doesn’t consider football less than a ‘dream’. Forbes did an article on Dwayne Johnson’s statement of not giving up on XFL’s future and asked the readers, “Who wants to tell him he’s wrong?” The Rock took to Twitter and replied, “I’ve tried to tell him his whole life but he’s never listened to me. I play the long game in business and XFL is no exception.

An ‘actor’ supported his ‘long game’ by commenting, “They gotta understand the benefit of the long game!” Johnson saw this as the perfect opportunity to reply to the people who have been trolling him regarding the loss. “They just don’t brother. It’s very rare these days for people to understand that long-game value,” replied The Rock.

Weeks after the first season was over, reporters started coming in about XFL’s major job cut. It turns out that Johnson has started tackling the loss already. The company has shifted its employment from all-season full-time to season ‘double’ full-time. This means that some employees will remain for XFL’s off-season work. However, the rest will be fired and the hiring rates will double when the next working season kicks in.

Apart from this, The Rock has also started paying more attention to safety from concussions. This could increase the overall quality of an athlete’s health playing at XFL, encouraging more players to join the league.
