Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s surprise appearance on the latest edition of WWE SmackDown generated considerable backlash. The video became the most disliked video in the history of the WWE YouTube channel, despite surpassing 4 million views. The pro wrestling community expressed dissatisfaction with The Rock replacing Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. And now it seems like the fans have started hijacking live shows as well with chants of “We want Cody” in WWE’s latest event.

Hashtags like #WeWantCody began to gain prominence on social media, with fans urging The Rock to reconsider the change in the fight. Vince McMahon is not directly involved, emphasizing The Rock’s significant influence. Some also report that the initial plans were different. However, CM Punk’s injury brought forth the change.
