“It Feels Weird”: Vince McMahon’s WWE Retirement Due to Hush Money Allegations Left World-famous WWE Legend “Empty”

Rey Mysterio is a living legend and one of the most popular luchadors of wrestling. Mysterio has been at the top of his game. He has been constantly performing at the highest level for the past two decades. Mysterio and his son, Dominik are now in a feud with The Judgement Day on RAW.

The former tag-team champion recently spoke to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT and discussed quite a few things. Among them, was Vince McMahon’s retirement. Apart from that, he also spoke about working with Triple H, his dream match, and more. The interview began on a positive note and had a sense of warmth all over it. Alex soon started how Mysterio had only worked for Vince McMahon in WWE till now but now it is a new regime with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

He also asked how Triple H is in the creative right now and has Mysterio feuding with The Judgement Day and whether Rey has spoken with The Game till now. Mysterio responded with, “I know they have their hands full right now, you know it feels weird, it feels empty not having Vince there.” He continued, “At some point get approval after your match or prior to going out to the ring. You know, as Hunter and Stephanie and Nick said, ‘very big shoes to fill in’ But I don’t they think they could have picked better people to put in that spot than them.

Rey insisted on the fact that the new people in charge were the best out there and then, they can improve the company and give the fans what they like. He said, “You know in some sort of way better the company and give the fans you know what we always like to give them.” Rey also said that things are only going to get better as time progresses. He also said how fans will get the matches and storylines they want to see.

Rey Mysterio talks about some of his favorite moments

Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT was genuinely interested in talking to Mysterio about some of his favorite moments. One such moment was, losing his eye to Seth Rollins. Rey said, “It was crazy, just to even hear. I guess at first we had no idea how far we are gonna go with this. Of course, we sat down with directives and they were telling us ‘no, this is exactly how it’s gonna go, this is how Vince wants to go.’ I know Seth was a bit thrown off.”

He continued with how sometimes they might not have the best ideas but they try to do their best. He then claimed that story to be, “Wild story. Very very wild.”

The conversation then moved towards Rey Mysterio shaving CM Punk’s head. Rey claimed that he still has some of Punk’s hair in a ziplock bag. He cited the reason to be, “That’s what we do in Lucha libre. If you have a mask vs mask match and you win, you take your opponent’s mask you keep that mask as a trophy.” He revealed how he learnt this from his uncle while growing up in Lucha libre.

The 47-year-old revealed how he always got along with CM Punk. He said, “I have always had a good relationship with Phil. Punk is a great guy despite his problems with WWE but we’ve always got along.”

Rey Mysterio is a living legend but is way past his prime. Therefore, soon we might witness him bidding adieu to in-ring action. Sooner or later, Mysterio might engage in his last feud but one cannot disagree with the fact that Mysterio has given all the wrestling fans, a whole lot of memories to cherish.
