The arrival of The Rock to the group led by Roman Reigns has turned The Bloodline into even more of a vicious unit on the way to WrestleMania XL. And the final moments of the most recent episode of WWE RAW in Chicago solidified it, as it marked a turning point for the road to WrestleMania XL. For the first time since the beginning of their rivalry, The Rock ambushed Cody Rhodes which ended with the latter wounded and covered in his own blood. This proved his claim of being the Final Boss as he reminded the former AEW star of the tall task in front of him.

But do you know that the Tribal Chief too once was a boss? And one very similar to Dwayne Johnson. In fact, you may even say that the Final Boss is Johnson’s shot by Reign’s gimmick. Don’t believe us? Well, here are the details.

The Tribal ‘Boss’?

Roman Reigns has had an unprecedented run in WWE. The Tribal Chief has remained at the top of WWE since 2020 when he managed to win the Universal Championship and became the character we see on television today. But before being the Tribal Chief, he became the Boss in FCW. And a recent tweet is making rounds on X that shows Reigns’ promo from his FCW days. Where he donned glasses similar to his blood, Dwayne Johnson, while displaying the same heelish traits and mannerisms as portrayed by The Rock since his return.

FCW was the WWE’s developmental territory before NXT. It allowed superstars to experiment and hone their skills before making the leap to the main roster. Reigns’ previous Boss gimmick had a very similar style of promo delivery as the Brahma Bull’s. Maybe Johnson took a subtle shot at him when he named his heel run the run of a final boss. But we’re sure Reigns wouldn’t mind it even if it is a shot at him. After all, his reign is the fifth-longest in WWE history. Currently, he has surpassed the 1300-day barrier and is likely to catch Hulk Hogan’s record of 1474 days if he manages to retain the Championship at WrestleMania XL against Cody Rhodes. And while his own blood might’ve taken a shot at him, he is all in when it comes to supporting his brother Jimmy Uso.

At WrestleMania 40, Jimmy and Jey Uso will face each other in one of the most anticipated matches on the card of the glorious event. Between them the pair have experienced several highs and triumphs that will be sung in the decades to come. However, currently, the real life brothers can’t stand each other due to their differing loyalties. Especially because of everything that has happened in recent months with The Bloodline. And if Jey Uso distanced himself from the faction, Jimmy still supports The Bloodline. And, therefore, Roman Reigns, who in a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, made it clear who is his favorite for the match between the Uso brothers. Pointing out that he gives his support to Jimmy Uso.

He said, “I’m rooting for big Jim, he’s my only family. Jey made his choice. How do you walk away from the dream? How d’you walk away from the promised land? You know what, it’s disrespectful. He’ll tell you his life hasn’t been the same since, so if you can’t play your role, if you can’t just fill the shoes that you’ve been provided, then we’ve got to excommunicate you. We got to see if, you know, sink or swim. He’s doing okay, but just remember it only takes, [clicks his fingers], just like that. We send the word, and it’s done.”
