It is fair to say that John Cena has been one of the biggest celebrities to emerge since his debut in the WWE in 2002. The Champ was the one who had led the entire business at its most difficult period when there was no other major superstar remaining on the roster. He was therefore one of Vince McMahon’s prodigies, whom he most trusted. Consequently, it is really strange to think of Cena ruthlessly destroying his ‘father figure’, especially in the other promotion. However, it did take place.

Cena’s career-defining year in 2007 was when he formally cemented his legend status. Every athlete has that one year where he is untouchable for others in every discipline, and for Cena, it was 2007. He was respected not just within WWE at the time, but also outside of it. As a result, he frequently came to an Indy promotion to make guest appearances, and once McMahon went along with him, he was brutally thrashed by Cena.

This unexpected event took place at an Indy Show in 2007. The event was a charity event, and Cena’s father owned the wrestling company, Chaotic Wrestling. Where Cena served as the special guest referee at the Chaotic Championship bout between Rick Fuller and Brian Milonas.

In the midst of that, Vince appeared on the show and gave the audience an experience to remember. When The Big Man slapped Cena in the face, he used his signature move, the AA, to beat him mercilessly. Which was unexpected if we look now given their relationship.
