This fight was meant to be a headliner but turned out to be a walkthrough for Sterling. As the match began, Sterling moved swiftly, laying quick jabs onto his opponent.

This was a standard way of getting things warmed up, but it turns out Sandhagen had other plans. This arsenal of light punches was just a setup or distraction to his main motive.

Catching Sandhagen off guard, Sterling quickly got behind him, successfully flanking his defenses. Sterling then got Sandhagen into a rear-naked chokehold, forcing him to the ground.

The triangular poise that Sterling was locking his opponent to was solid. Sandhagen couldn’t break free and it took him little time to realize this.

Sandhagen had no option but to tap. The match was done, and Sterling clocked the submission at 1:28 of the first round!

This victory was a stamp of dominance from Sterling. He floated like a butterfly and suffocated like a snake!

Receiving a lot of praise from the UFC world, Sterling was in the spotlight.

CM Punk couldn’t contain his disbelief.

He tweeted his reaction which is most probably genuine. Punk thought that it was a mighty big statement to make, and he’s right.

There’s nothing to get the dice rolling quite like finishing off a huge opponent in minutes. Sterling is definitely on track to the higher spots.

Taking a knee, Sterling dedicated the win to George Floyd and the movement taking place in America. He wishes he could be a part of it and support it but had to handle “business” first.

The match that lasted a sum total of 88 seconds and left Sandhagen, early unconscious shocked everybody. You know you’ve done well when even CM Punk can’t contain his reaction.
