The landscape ahead of WrestleMania 40 has changed radically. When it seemed that Cody Rhodes was going to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to try to finish his story, it finally seems that The Rock will be Roman Reigns’ opponent after the confrontation they had on Friday on SmackDown.

And this has upset many in the WWE Universe. The YouTube video featuring the segment between the Rock and the Tribal Chief has already become WWE’s most disliked video on YouTube, and now, in a recently uploaded video on Twitter, we can witness how strong the fan support is for Cody Rhodes.

WWE is in Knoxville right now, as they performed a live show there. And the fans there are surely very expressive. Earlier, when the clip of the infamous segment played on the screen, the fans couldn’t help but express their discontent by booing at the WWE. And now, in a clip that has been making the rounds, ‘The American Nightmare’ received one of the loudest pops as he makes his entrance.

This surely is very reminiscent of the summer of Punk and Daniel Bryan’s run toward the world championship. In both situations, fans were behind the superstar that the WWE did not feel like pushing ahead and they served fans with bigger names, making their returns instead. And fans have made it sure that the WWE knows their discontent as they recently made a record on YouTube that the WWE would not like at all.

Fans ‘dislike’ the Rock vs. Roman Reigns idea

The segment where ‘The American Nightmare’ decided that it will not be him but the The Rock, who will go face-to-face with Reigns at WrestleMania 40 has caused a wave of reactions on social media. The vast majority of them are against what happened because a good part of the fans wanted to see Cody Rhodes “finish his story” at WrestleMania this year, but right now the situation points to that, again, it will not be like that.

The discontent is such that the video that WWE has published with this complete segment on their Youtube channel has become the video with the most ‘dislikes’ in the history of the WWE with more than 200,000 ‘dislikes’ while  number of likes stands at just over 60,000.
