The card for Sunday’s Payback now has the ‘King’ fighting with the ‘Original Bro’. Rings any bells? Let me put it this way; Baron Corbin will face Matt Riddle in a singles match at Payback. WWE made it official with a tweet.

For the past few weeks, Corbin and Riddle haven’t seen eye to eye. Since Matt Riddle debuted in the main roster of SmackDown, Corbin has been adamant to prove that Riddle does not ‘belong in SmackDown.’ He even offered a ‘King’s Ransom’ for anyone who can put Riddle down.

On the 28th August edition of SmackDown, Matt Riddle got tired of the games. Riddle got inside the ring and called out Corbin to sort out their differences. However, as Baron Corbin appeared and made his way to the ring, Shorty G attacked Riddle from behind.

Corbin then accepted a match ‘on behalf of Shorty G’. Later, Riddle easily won the match. When Corbin tried to attack him after the match, Riddle retaliated and sent the King fleeing from the ring.

Later, in the backstage area, Baron Corbin cut a promo. In his interview with Kayla Braxton, he said he is going to destroy Riddle at Payback. Baron is going to prove once and for all that Matt Riddle does NOT belong in his kingdom.

Payback will be Matt Riddle’s first PPV since he debuted on SmackDown.
