Worse still, it happens through a completely avoidable mistake.
That’s exactly what the WWE had to face when one of its talents leaked the result of their much anticipated main event of NXT Takeover: Great American Bash on social media.
The yellow brand had high hopes from the champion vs champion battle between Adam Cole and Keith Lee.
Needless to say, the already recorded match would be absolutely terrific considering the caliber of the two performers.
However, Saurav Gurjar, who’s one half of the Indus-sher, a monstrous tag team unit currently bulldozing through NXT, leaked the result through his Instagram story.
As soon as Lee achieved the historic feat by claiming the NXT Championship, Gurjar uploaded a story on Instagram, sharing the emotionally charged moment.
Even though the Superstar soon realized the massive mistake he had made, it was too late before he took his story down.
The media had caught up with the story and the results were all over social media.
Now, Bryan Alvarez is reporting on the Bryan And Vinny Show that WWE is not happy with what Gurjar did. In fact, the Superstar is in some very deep trouble.
WWE very unhappy with NXT talent
It’s reported that even though it might seem impossible that such an error was made by accident, that’s what had actually happened. Here’s what Alvarez had to say –
“I can tell you that it has been made abundantly clear to me that although it seems you cannot possibly be dumb enough to take a photo of the aftermath and put it on your Instagram, that is in fact what happened and the company was furious about it.”

There’s one more twist to the story. EJ Nduka, one of the NXT talents, said on Twitter that the company has taped two endings for the match.
We don’t run a sloppy shop. Two endings. Two stories. Find out next week.

While it’s great if that’s actually the case, the chances don’t seem pretty good. It might just be an effort at some late damage control.
You can’t help but feel bad for poor Saurav Gurjar. Even though the error was of disastrous proportions, it was a human error at the end of the day.

Previous reports had indicated that his tag team unit was in line for a huge push.
We really hope that this incident doesn’t jeopardize those prospects.
