A similar announcement has now been made from its blue brand by the SmackDown General Manager himself. In fact, the announcement has caught fans outta nowhere just like an RKO by Randy Orton.

Mere hours remain before WWE SmackDown goes live on everyone’s screens, a social media post knocked on the doors of fans and announced a special match. Dropping the bomb on fans, Nick Aldis spilled the beans on an action-packed episode which will see The Viper Randy Orton in action.

Nick Aldis catches the WWE Universe off-guard

The WWE Universe is currently waiting for the upcoming Royal Rumble match. The main event will see 30 wrestlers outlast everyone to win the number one contendership for the WWE Championship. However, the WWE title will be on the line at the PLE in a fatal four-way match involving Randy Orton as well.

Today’s SmackDown was supposed to hold the contract signing of this match and fans were down for some interesting promos. However, WWE tweeted a video on X where SmackDown’s GM Nick Aldis put the entire WWE Universe in a high-alert mode.

He said, “Good morning, WWE Universe. It’s your SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, here in Atlanta, Georgia, with a huge contract signing for the Fatal 4-Way match at the Royal Rumble, tonight, 8-7 Central, only on Fox, and a special announcement.” He further named the participants of this special match.

“One of those participants in said Fatal 4-Way will be in action tonight as Randy Orton takes on Solo Sikoa, tonight, only on SmackDown,” ended Aldis. While the announcement definitely has WWE fans charged and pumped, Randy Orton would also be extremely happy with this news.

Randy Orton gets a chance to shatter the enforcer of The Bloodline

Roman Reigns is notorious for taking outside help from The Bloodline to save himself from pinch situations and create opportunities. It has been a really long time since the absentee champion has won a match on his own merit. The biggest helper of Reigns in crisis is The Bloodline’s enforcer Solo Sikoa.

With a one-on-one opportunity against Roman’s henchman, Randy Orton stands a chance to weaken The Bloodline. The Legend Killer is notorious for punt-kicking his enemies out of commission for several weeks. Thus, Orton wouldn’t want to waste this opportunity to send Sikoa back on a stretcher and increase his odds of winning the WWE title. But, it is also an opportunity for Solo Sikoa to injure Randy Orton instead.
